The Linganore Racing Club is sponsoring the "Tohickon Wildwater Classics", scheduled for
Saturday & Sunday, November 6 & 7, 2004 on Tohickon Creek in Point Pleasant, PA.
The races are being organized by Bob Bofinger.
There will be separate wildwater races on different sections of the Tohickon. There is
a scheduled release this weekend for the Nockamixon reservoir winter draw down. The level
will probably be 1.5 ' at the Ralph Stover Park cover bridge. Race 1, on an easier
section of Class I whitewater, will be a 5 mile race from South Park Road to the 1st dam
just below route 611. Race 2 will be on the Class 3, 3.8 mile section in the gorge from
the cover bridge in Ralph Stover Park to Point Pleasant. All registration will take place
at Ralph Stover Park. Rems & Company will provide safety for the gorge section, Race 2.
Also, Boy Scouts will be selling food both days to keep our bodies warm and energized.

Awards to the top 3 finishers in each class plus junior divisions. Certain classes
may be combined. T-shirts and bib numbers will be given out at Registration. Bibs
to be returned at the end of the race. Open canoes, plastic and slalom boats welcome.
Race entry Fee: $20 per person if registered by November 1 or $25 race day.
A USACK event fee of $15 is required for those who are not members. No launch fee
required for these two days.

All participants must wear a coast guard approved lifejacket, and a helmet. Airbags are
recommended as always. All participates must be out of the park by sunset. The race
organizers will provide coaching, recommend race lines and strategies, and give out prizes.
This race is part of the Mid Atlantic Downriver series. Finishers will be factored into
the MADS championship and receive a ranking by USA Wildwater based on their times, as
compared to other racers.
