Dear Wildwater Racers and Friends:

Amendment 3 to the USA Wildwater Team Bylaws has been finalized and approved. This amendment changes the National Championships to recognize Sprint, Classic, and combined Champions. Also, the Team selection criteria is updated to include more emphasis on sprint and to establish minimum percentages to earn a berth on the team.

In other news, the 2005 USA Wildwater Junior and Senior Team Trials have been awarded to the Nantahala Racing Club. The race will be held March 5th and 6th 2005 on a 5-mile section of the Nantahala River, in the gorgeous Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. The two-day event will select the elite athletes that will represent the USA in the 2005 World Cups and Junior World Championships being contested in England, Wales, Ireland and Italy.

Speaking of results, check out the article about the Animal Upper Gauley Race.

I hope you enjoy it all...
