Dear Wildwater Racers and Friends:

Zoar and the USA Wildwater Committee (Seth Eisner) put together a fantastic USA Wildwater National Championships. Twenty-two athletes competed in the Nationals. Congratulations to the winners - Geoff Calhoun (K1-M), MacKenzie Hatcher (K1-W), Tom Wier (C1) and John Pinyerd/Mike Harris (C2) -- and to everyone who competed.

We also have news about the Junior Pre-Worlds, the U.S. Junior Olympics and the Upper Yough Race.

The 40th Annual Southeastern U.S. Slalom and Wildwater Championships is coming on October 4-5. Learn more about the history of this event and keep up your training program so you will be ready to compete. This is your chance to pick up some extra money by breaking one of the event records.

Finally, congratulations to Rich Roehner for writing about Wildwater in the current (July-August) issue of the Ameican Whitewater Journal. Thanks, also, to Jennie Goldberg for helping get Rich's articles published.
