The first article in the e-Zine published on September 10 was confusing because the title was about the Nationals and the text was mostly about the Team Trials. Here's an amended edition of the e-Zine.

2013 US Wildwater National Championships and 2014 Eastern Team Trials
Last weekend, the fastest athletes from around the United States gathered at the Nantahala Outdoor Center to compete in the combined 2013 National Championships and 2014 Eastern Team Trials.

Congratulations to our new National Champions:

	K-1 Men:		Emmanuel Beauchard
	K-1 Women:		Marin Millar
	C-1 Men:		John Pinyerd
	C-2 Men:		Colton and Bryson Popp
	C-1 Women:		Selena Popp
	K-1 Men Junior:		Tyler Smith

The following athletes were selected for the 2014 USA Wildwater Team:

	K-1 Women:		Marin Millar and Haley Popp*
	C-2:		Colton and Bryson Popp*
	C-1 Women:		Selena Popp*

* Have not yet committeed to go to Europe next year.

The remaining spots on the 2014 Wildwater Team will be filled after the Western Team Trials in the spring.

Request for Bids for the 2014 Wildwater National Events
Bids are being requested from race organizing committees to host the 2014 USA Wildwater National Championships, Western US Wildwater Junior Team Trials and the 2015 USA Wildwater Team Trials, east and west (2 races). Organizers should choose the wildwater event(s) that they are best suited to host and bid on the selected event(s).

Bids should be submitted in writing via email in the format described below to the Interim Wildwater Chairman, Tom Wier (wierc1@yahoo.com) by October 31st 2013. A decision will be made on the location and date of these races and made public no later than November 30th 2013.

Wildwater Committee News

The USA Wildwater Committee met (via Skype) on Sunday evening, September 8th. At the meeting, we approved two amendments to the Wildwater Committee Bylaws (one updating the criteria for selecting the USA Wildwater Team and the other defining the changes structure of the Wildwater Committee. We also discussed and approved the wording of the Request for Bids and Call for Nominations items mentioned above.
