Dear Wildwater Racers and Friends:

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and ate plenty of food! Wildwater athletes who are training at capacity need about 4,000 to 5,000 calories per day, so I'm sure all that gravy, stuffing and sweet potato pie didn't go to waste.

With the very successful Seth Eisner training camp and USACK Wildwater Committee elections coming to a close, this fall has been very active for the U.S. Wildwater scene. You have chosen an excellent group of committee members who will serve our sport well. December and the early winter are looking great, too, with two more fantastic training camps in the eastern U.S. and the annual USACK meeting on December 1st. (see story below.)

I hope training is going well for you and that you are excited to move into some wintertime speed workouts and power-lifting in the gymnasium to supplement all the long hours of aerobic base training you have already amassed this fall. If you didn't get to Seth Eisner's training camp in October, please remember to refer to some of the French training information at USAWildwater.com.

Happy training,

Michael Beavers
