Dear Wildwater Racers and Friends:

It's hard to believe that it has been almost a month since I published our last E-zine! I seem to always be waiting for "one more article" and presto.. 4 weeks have disappeared.

This E-zine brings you articles about the NRC Glacier Breaker Double Header (before and after the race), an update on the training camp to be held on the Lower Youghiogheny River in Ohiopyle, PA on March 10/11 and premilinary information about the Senior Wildwater Team Trials (which will also be held on the Lower Youghiogheny in April). The training camp is an excellent chance for you to become familiar with the river.

We also bring news that the International Olympic Committee and the International Canoe Federation (ICF) have approved women racing in canoes at the Olympic level. In turn, the ICF has just added language to the ICF bylaws that supports women's events at venues like the World Championships. Read more about this in the article listed below.

Check our calendar at www.usawildwater.com/races/2007RaceSchedule.pdf for the races nearest you. If you know of a race that is not already on our calendar, please let me know about it and I will add it to the calendar.

Before we know it, the Eastern and Western Junior Team Trials will be here. Will you be ready??

Spring is just about here and the ice is gone from the rivers where I live (central WV). It's time to paddle...
